Fall Museum Studies Intern: David Zinger

David Zinger During David Zinger?s Fall 2019 internship at the Air Zoo in Portage, Michigan, he developed a series of self-guided tours to be used by the general public. He spent time researching, reading, and talking to docents about the history, innovations, and importance of the aircraft, putting together tours with images, diagrams, and information from docents and the archive at the Air Zoo. The tours dealt with innovation of wings through the eras, innovations of fighter planes from World War One to modern-day jets, and planes that flew in the Second World War. The internship helped David build a better under- standing of flight and the amazing innovations that occurred in the 60 years between the Wright Flyer to the SR-71.
