MST 310 In Action
Students in MST 310, Introduction to Museums, recently learned about museum education from veteran museum educator, Corrine Bloomfield, who gave a demonstration of how to teach both STEM and history disciplines through the use of ?Big Blue Blocks.? As part of the activity, students worked together to build their own blue block creations, combining imagination, creativity, teamwork, and other skills. Corrine is an alumni of the program and we appreciate her expertise!
MST 325 In Action
MST 325, Public Programming in Museums, also had an MST alumnus guest speak recently. Kaye Reimers (2017), Volunteer & Events Coordinator at Mid-Michigan Children?s Museum in Saginaw, spoke to the class about managing volunteers, events, and many other aspects of museum work. She has most recently been coordinating schedules with Santa to appear at the children's museum's Holiday Hooray! For more information, visit https://www.michildrensmuseum.org/. Thank you Kaye!
