Schoolhouse July 9

Schoolhouse Ring, ring! Better hurry, the school day is starting in our Bohannon School house! Join us to experience a typical school day in 1901: practice your arithmetic on slate boards, play vintage games, and more!

This free public program is great for families! The Schoolhouse is located at the corner of West Campus Drive and Preston Street. Parking is available across the street, and CMU guest parking passes are provided in the Schoolhouse.


Moon Landing July 16

Astronauts Take "one small step" over to our moon landing program on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch. Learn about the first astronauts to walk on the moon, their journey through space, and the technology that took them there and back.

While you're here, explore our new exhibit "Kozmic Clash: Peace, Love, and Outer Space," an exhibit celebrating the groundbreaking innovation and creativity of 1969.

This free public program from 10:00am to 11:00am is great for families! The Museum is located at the corner of East Campus Drive and Bellows Street. CMU guest parking passes are provided at Rowe Hall 103. Please use the north entrance off Bellows Street or the west entrance off East Campus Drive to enter. The building?s south entrance may be closed due to sidewalk repairs.


Feelin' the Music July 23

Feelin the Music Come jam in "Feel the Music," the Museum?s new Hands-on Music Gallery, where you can explore the fundamentals of music. Learn how music is made around the world and the instruments that create it. Participants will also go home with an instrument they make themselves.

Desert Habitat Why do ducks have webbed feet and eagles have talons? Join us to learn about the habitats animals live in and the adaptations that help them survive. Test your knowledge in our habitat-matching challenge, compete for resources in a game of survival, and create an insect of your own.
