MST Graduate: Olivia Beebe

Olivia Beebe The Museum is very proud of its Museum Studies graduates. Olivia Beebe worked in Collections for most of her time with the Museum, but she could also be seen around campus in flash mobile programming in Honey Bear (the VW bus). Olivia has been accepted into the Master of Arts in Art History and Curating program at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She is looking forward to being able to combine both her interests in art and museums. One of the program modules is curatorial practice, where at either the Barber Institute of Fine Arts or the Grand Union students complete an exhibition. Way to go Olivia!

You can find out more information about the program at bit.ly/2JRUBd7.

MST Graduate: Maeve Dorn

Maeve Dorn Spring semester Museum Studies/Biology student, and now CMU alumna, Maeve Dorn, interned at the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, Michigan. She learned about all aspects of animal care including creating enrichment. By providing variation in food, items to interact with, and environmental changes, enrichment is physically and mentally stimulating and evokes natural behaviors such as foraging for zoo animals. This picture shows Maeve next to the mandrills' St. Patrick's Day enrichment. Good Job Maeve!
