Fall Intern: Margo Light

Margo Light Museum Studies student Margo Light served as a gallery assistant intern at the Wonderlab Museum of Science, Health, and Technology in Bloomington, Indiana, this semester. Margo worked on the gallery floor with volunteers and guests, assisted with school groups, and designed new "science on the spot" activities. She also created new hands-on, volunteer, and staff facilitated science activities.

Margo is seen here on the gallery floor with a young guest performing "pocket science." These are short, informal science activities that fit into the gallery assistant?s pocket and can be taken around to show and teach museum guests. This particular activity is teaching about the center of gravity using a bird that holds its center of gravity in its beak so it balances on the end of a pencil. Good work Margo!
