Museum Studies In Action: MST 310

MST 310 The Fall 2018 term has gotten off to a great start in MST 310, Introduction to Museums. Students in Dr. Kirsten E. Nicholson's class were placed into groups to conduct semester-long museum projects and are pictured here deep in discussion regarding the theme of their projects. They spend all semester "building" museums from the ground up, putting lecture concepts into practice through engaging weekly assignments, culminating in a presentation for their completed museums. Dr. Nicholson states, "It was exciting to watch them enthusiastically discuss with their group mates what theme they wanted to pursue; it is always the best end to the term to see the final products!" Stay tuned for more on their progress!

He also cataloged exhibition props, as seen in this photo. He cataloged over 700 props, including fashion reference materials, hundreds of pairs of gloves and other accessories, and various types of garments. Great job Josh!
