- To access the definition wizard for a target group, select the desired target group in the Target Groups subtree, then select Edit -> Open Target Group Definition from the menu (or go via the right-click menu of the target group node in the explorer tree).
- To create a new "database or LDAP directory access by LISTSERV" target group, select New -> Recipient Target Group -> Based on Database or LDAP Directory Access By LISTSERV from the menu (or go via the right-click menu of the parent target group folder in the explorer tree).
The Target Group Definition wizard lets you define a target group of the Database or LDAP directory access by LISTSERV type that can then be used in the recipients wizard to define the recipients of a job.
The wizard for a target group of the Database or LDAP directory access by LISTSERV type has multiple pages:
General, Source, Parameters,
Input Layout, Input Preview,
Recipients Details, and Summary.
The top row of the wizard displays links to these pages. The page that is currently open is marked with a highlighted background color. Depending on the choices made on some of the wizard pages, other pages may become disabled or may be shown in different versions. If a wizard page is disabled, then it means that the page is not necessary with the current choices and can safely be ignored.
Input Preview Page: Test the Parameter Settings and Input Controls
This screen allows you to verify that the labels, descriptions, parameter types and values, as well as the parameter ordering and any optional headings which you may have added, appear as expected. You can also check that the input validation for integer or floating point numbers is enabled for the input fields where this is required.
