Define Recipients: Send to a Classic LISTSERV List
Or from the job list, select the desired job, then in the job details pane, select the Summary tab and click on the Edit link in the Recipients section.
To access the recipients wizard for a given A/B-split job: On the A/B-Split Job Details page, click the Edit link in the Recipients section.
The Define Recipients wizard allows the defining of recipients that will receive the email message specified in the job when the job is finally sent.
The wizard has five pages: Options, Source, Source Details, Recipients Details, Advanced Settings, and Summary.
The top row of the wizard displays links to these five pages. The page that is currently open is marked with a highlighted background color. Depending on the choices made on some of the wizard pages, other pages may become disabled or may be shown in different versions. If a wizard page is disabled, then it means that this page is not necessary with the current choices and can safely be ignored.
Source Page: Select LISTSERV List
Select the list name to send the mail to, together with additional options:
Send job as standard list message to list subscribers: The job is sent as if it were submitted to the list as a posting by a subscriber or an editor. The posting goes through all the normal LISTSERV list processing except for moderator approval (being sent through LISTSERV Maestro is considered a privileged operation in this regard). Message digests, list archives, and all other normal LISTSERV list processing applies. This includes bounce processing according to the settings defined in the list, which means that bounce reporting from inside of LISTSERV Maestro is not possible for the job, and mail merging is only possible if the list is defined to allow it. If mail merging is allowed, then personal, unique and blind tracking is possible. If mail merging is not allowed, then only blind tracking is possible.
- Send job as special list message: The job is delivered to all subscribers of the list as a special posting. It does not undergo the normal list processing (no digests, list archives, and so on). Mail merging is possible as well as tracking (except for anonymous tracking). Bounce reporting from inside of LISTSERV Maestro, however, is not possible.
